The Tavistock Inn, a traditional pub, is situated in the back street of the historic town of Tavistock which is the largest town in West Devon. It is an excellent base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside of Devon and Cornwall as it is situated on the south west edge of the Dartmoor National Park and 15 miles north of Plymouth (regular bus service to/from Plymouth). The town itself has many independently run shops, craft, antique and cafes, and the Panier Market open daily has a wide range of traders including artists and craft people. The annual traditional Goose Fair is held in the town on the second Wednesday in October.
The accommodation at the Inn is on the first floor, the modern rooms are en suite with showers, have a flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have a comfortable double bed and a family room (double bed and two single beds) is available.
A full English breakfast is available at a small extra cost and tasty traditional 'pub grub' is served in the bar.
You will find a friendly welcome by the landlord and landlady.
